Books are to be read but many times we may have books which we may have never read. Sometimes we may buy books & never read them. Or we may even be gifted books which we may never read.
I am lucky to get gifted books regularly. I also used to buy books regularly. But many of these books I haven't been able to read or should I say I did not read them
The reasons have been different.
At times I start reading a book & don't like it. So I don't read it further.
At other times I don't feel like reading some of the books.
I have noticed once you don't read a book for a long time then you may never read it ever. It becomes like a possession you may never use.
I have seen people with large book collections who haven't read many of the books they have. Some people like buying books & collecting them but they don't read them.
I too have several such books. I used to love collecting books. Maybe it made me feel I had the knowledge close to me & I had access to it anytime
