In my early career I used to take one big risk a week. The risk was big enough to make me lose my job. It would help me learn more & get better at my job. The bigger the risk I took the faster I learnt.
Risks are good because they push us out of our comfort zone. We learn more when we take risks. But risks could also make us lose our job. The bigger the mistake the more the risk.
In my mid career I used to take one big risk a year. My risk appetite went down. I was playing it safe. My learning slowed down
In my late career I used to take one big risk a month. I started to push myself again & started to take bigger risks more. Finally I lost my job. It was bound to happen. This helped me become an entrepreneur.
Now as an entrepreneur I take one big risk a week. I am trying to push myself more.
What about you? What is stopping you from taking risks?
