My first Guru was my mom who taught me how to write. I had my self doubts but she believed I could become a writer. She always kept telling me one day I will become a writer. I never believed her because I never believed in myself. After she passed away I became a writer. It was her blessings that made me become a writer because I was just an ordinary closet writer. She taught me how to work hard on myself.
My second Guru was my uncle who inspired me to learn how to be a good human being. When he was on his death bed, I went to meet him. He could not see or speak. He wrote on a piece of paper asking if I had my favourite cold drink. I was surprised how could somebody be so loving towards others. He would love me more than he loved to his son. He taught me how to give to others freely. He would know what I wanted & give it to me even before I asked. He left me with the gift of goodness & giving.
My third guru were my failures in life. I went through 14 years of failure. This guru stayed with me like my shadow. Each time I took a step forward & made a mistake my guru taught me how to reflect on mistakes & learn from them. My guru also taught me how to separate the outcome from the actions. I disliked this guru but slowly began to enjoy the actions without caring about results. My guru also taught me to DOTS (Do One Thing Surely). This Guru is not there anymore but I still remember my guru everyday.
What about you?
Wishing you all a very happy Guru Purnima!
