It pains me to see my alma mater’s hostel on the brink of collapse. In Ayodhya, more than 100 students enrolled in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) are sleeping in the same room. One news report calls it a ‘tabela’. JNVs were set up to provide quality education to talented students from poor families. It’s heart-breaking that minors living miles away from their homes are being forced to stay outside their hostel, in a tiny hall.
Help Students Get Better Facilities - both the junior and senior boys hostels were declared ‘dangerous’ for living in 2019. But, the construction for a new hostel hasn’t started in 3 years now. In the last two years, election rallies took place, governments changed, and the construction for the Ram temple began. Meanwhile, JNV Ayodhya’s hostel continued to fall apart, jeopardising the future of hundreds of students from poor backgrounds.
Restore The Glory Of Ayodhya’s Navodaya - The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has already reduced the student intake this session from 80 to 40! Support our cause for request appeal To The government to expedite the construction immediately of a new hostel for talented Navodayans.
