Indian cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu said that trade between Pakistan and India should resume so that both the countries could get closer to each other. Pakistan had suspended bilateral trade with India on August 9, 2019 after “the Indian government’s unilateral action to change the status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir”. Sidhu gave these remarks after crossing into Pakistan on Saturday the 20/11/2021 via the Kartarpur Corridor to pay homage to Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib
