The biggest challenge for entrepreneurs is no consistent salary. This makes it tough for entrepreneurs to survive.
Also start-ups take a long time to do well. It takes years of effort & failure. It is tough to deal with failure. It may take many years to do well. Most people give up.
Entrepreneurs work long hours, 16-18 hours a day is normal & so is 7 days a week working. It is tough for entrepreneurs to take leave because the buck stops with them. There is hardly any work life balance. And success is not guaranteed in-fact success is rare.
Last but not the least there is no backup plan for entrepreneurs. If they don't make it they have nothing to fall back on. They have to start all over again. There is hardly any support system for entrepreneurs.
Which is probably why few people become entrepreneurs. Even fewer people remain entrepreneurs, those who do get the fruits of success
