The CUET (Common University Entrance Test) 2022 has a big flaw. It is based on CBSE board & NCERT books.
This puts students from other boards at a disadvantage. This also means one more exam to write for students along with the other competitive exams.
It is time we move to a common exam on the basis of which all college admissions should be decided.
The exam needs to be independent like the SAT which is not based on any board. It has to be a test for basic aptitude & skills..
On an average we see students today writing at least 7-10 exams after 12th boards.
Is this an efficient process. Imagine the psychological pressure on students today. Especially when students even after years of preparation are unable to clear these exams.
Introducing more exams is good for the EdTech companies but not good for students & parents.
How many more exams do we want students to write?
Can we not move to a single exam system?
