We are actually captivated with Video consumption 24x7 and not just millenials. it's the ability to line subconscious beliefs and perceptions within the mind of the individual. In layman language, Cinema could be a channel to make art and will be utilised to coach the masses and share Good if not great stories and concepts about our society.
But, is it happening?
It looks as if this equation is the other way up. Cinema (Bollywood) is somehow a way Greater force shaping the Indian society and minds. there's a relentless sublime undertone that displays Indian culture and other people as third-world and idiotic.
The Reality is that it's been corrupted by few Elitist who set and control the Narrative about what Content(films) are often served to the Indian audience.
It seems now a days, audience are just served what they don’t really understand and which doesn’t is smart to an entire lot folks.
Due to this an entire lot of Real artistic actors/directors are ignored/sidelined and that they don't seem to be even allowed to share their stories. Great movie making requires all sorts of support and not just capital.
This channel is getting used to sell biases which is largely a platter filled with lies about Hindu culture mostly. They mock Hinduism, mock relationships, mock politicians, Police, Judiciary, Govt. that are essential and important functions for a Healthy Society.
However recently, a consolation has emerged where some Artists and directors like Vivek Agnihotri, Anupam Kher, Mithun chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar and their team has worked passionately on their own to bring a true story named Kashmir files dead set property right.
Their recent movie titled "The Kashmir Files." which is predicated on 1990 Kashmir Genocide of Hindu Kashmiri pandits has hit sort of a reality and largely ignored story associated with our Beloved nation "India".
Before today, this traumatic memory of Real Kashmiri pandit, who were victims of the genocide, were untold for last 30 years and it’s only now the reality has kick off. All kudos to Vivek Agnihotri & team.
There is lots of expected debate on Media, Social channels, whether the movie was truthful or not. We leave this Verdict to News channels and it doesn’t really matters.
What really matters is that the Content and therefore the power/reach of Cinema. Its simple we want films like this.
The Agenda of this Petition is to realize traction on the concept that Movies like this deserved to be recognized at the very best podium for World cinema. ie. the Oscars.
