For 2024 elections, the possibility is ZERO. The gap between the two parties have widened after the split in the Shiv Sena. In fact, if Uddhav Thackeray consolidates the party now, he will come back to the power. The Congress and NCP have realised that it is better to keep company with Shiv Sena for the moment, at least for 2024 elections. The events that took place with regard to Andheri East constituency shows that the faction led by Eknath Shinde will have to play sub-junior role in the alliance. It will be the BJP that will call the shots. Andheri East was a sitting seat for Shiv Sena. If the faction led by the Shinde is the real Shiv Sena, they should have staked claim to that constituency. They left it to BJP and in turn the seat has gone to the Shiv Sena led by Uddhav Thackeray. With these developments, the real beneficiaries will be the Congress and the NCP.
