1. Think first, Then write 2. Write first, Then Think 3. Think & Write together 4. Write without thinking
As a student I was taught to think first then write. We were told it helps in getting the right structure & content. Preparation is important to get good quality output. We were also told to go through what we had written a few times so that we remove any errors or improve what we had written.
I used to write poetry & that happened without thinking. It was from the heart. Feelings don’t need the mind. I would write first then think & improve.
When I started working in a job I used to do both together especially when the content was interesting. The output came out good. It was as if I was brainstorming inside.
Now as a writer I realize my best writing comes spontaneously. I write & don’t need to think. Also if I write from my soul I don’t need to improve it. In fact there are hardly any corrections required. It comes directly from the source.
Writing is a spiritual process & does not need interference of the mind. Strangely life is spiritual process too. It does not need local interference. But our own ability to let go becomes our barrier. Hence we are not able to achieve amazing things in our life.
What about you? Where are you stuck?
