Osama bin Laden is dead, but "the butcher from Gujarat is still alive, and he is the Prime Minister of India today," said Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari in a UN briefing room on Thursday, when S. Jaishankar accused Pakistan of promoting terrorism and harboring Osama bin Laden.
He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was banned from entering the US. He is an RSS Prime Minister and Foreign Minister who takes inspiration from Hitler.
It was bound to get chilly now, as minutes before the Bhutto-Zardari briefing, Jaishankar addressed the media at the UN's stakeout site, repeating the allegations made inside the UN Security Council, where he called Pakistan accused of protecting "Osama bin Laden".
Apart from this, he also responded to the statement of Minister of State for External Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar in Islamabad, in which she called India the "biggest perpetrator of terrorism".
Jaishankar said Hina Rabbani Khar's statement reminded him of then US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's visit to Islamabad when she reminded Pakistan that "if you keep snakes, you cannot only expect them to bite your neighbors". One day, that snake will bite you, too.
Insulting Pakistan, he further said, "Pakistan does not like to listen to good advice, and now look what is happening there.
Today, due to all these reasons, Pakistan has become the epicenter of terrorism." Jaishankar further asked: "When will Pakistan stop terrorism and how long will it hide this thing with other useless things?
Why doesn't Pakistan try to be a good neighbor? At the Bhutto-Zardari briefing, a reporter asked them why the Indian and Pakistani foreign ministers were waging a war of words. To which Bhutto-Zardari replied that he himself had been a victim of terrorism as his mother was killed by terrorists along with thousands of other Pakistanis.
He further added that "we have lost more lives to terrorism than India," but India very cleverly makes all of us terrorists who are the real victims." They have also taken this philosophy forward for the Indian Muslims.
But perhaps they forgot that only a Muslim can become the Prime Minister in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, whereas in India a great person like APJ Abdul Kalam has been the President.
