[Gujarat] Aavo Padharo, words of welcome in the language of Gujarat becauseYou are here!reports MMS

One of our Mumbai Multimedia Studio Team mates Signor Tushar Gandhi & Avez Shaikh, both have lived in Surat, Vadodara, Anand, VidyaNagar, Bhavnagar, visited Ahmedabad, Vapi, Navsari, Bardoli, Bharuch, Palanpur, Borsad, Bardoli, Botad. His native homecity is Surat and his native village is near Barvala Taluka. He accustomed lived in village, small city, big city and villages of Gujarat. Government's & other authorities bodies task is to produce basic infrastructures facilities & amenities for the citizen of India.

Basic facilities you get in Canada/Toronto (1st in Canada) and Surat, Gujarat (6th in India, Ist in Gujarat), He will discuss as he had lived at both places, 23 years in Surat, Gujarat, 6 years in Canada/Gujarat. Both places he used to pay 3 bills, Electricity, Gas & Water, all comes at home thru pipelines. Also, several mighty projects are under pipelines to reach the citizens.

1. 24 hour's uninterrupted electricity - Gujarat has it from over decade. I recall only few incidents when power is gone in my entire life. My marriage was in small village (Navada) 150km from Ahmadabad with no small city connected in 50km radius. He asked his father to order generator, just just in case if electricity goes away on night function of Garba/Songs and Reception. But, father rejected saying power never goes in village, don’t worry. (You can’t do this confidence in other states of India, anyway)

2. Cooking gas by pipelines in cities: Surat has cooking gas connection by pipeline at least from 2006. I remember pipelines were working when Surat had get 2006 for per week. i used to be in 11th standard at that point. Other cities of Gujarat do have it too, but unsure from which year so I don’t want to say it here. (As far as i do know other states don’t have that yet)

3. Waterlines: Not just city but the majority villages have water coming by pipeline for several years. (He still remember that his colleagues from Bangalore complain about water tankers and water mafia). Surat Municipal potable by pipeline quality is best. water have time Surat Municipal Corporation scores in quality of water

4. Roads: most Gujarat villages have road connectivity with Highways from while. City roads also are good.

5. Garbage collection: He watched SMC tractor comes everyday in his Gali/Street society to retrieve garbage on timely manner for time I remember. Same goes to each other cities in Gujarat.

6. Surat (2nd) and Ahmedabad (3rd), have highest number of migrated workers in India after Mumbai (1st). Surat Municipal corporation even have schools for migrated workers in their native languages, like Marathi, Odia, Telugu, Urdu, Hindi. How Can 70,000 Migrants Get a correct Education? Surat City features a Unique Solution

7. Security Cameras: Surat was first city in India fully covered with CCTV camera. Surat first city with full surveillance | Delhi News - Times of India Ahmedabad, Rajkot & Vadodara are CCTV equipt.

8. Slum relocation: Tushar's & Avez secondary and higher secondary educational schools, both had big slum near by. Now there's no slum within the area. At one place, SMC developed lake & garden and other place they created a flyover & widen the road. Now the distance to his school is simply 3km from 7km once accustomed study there in 2005. Where slum went? In 6th floor house with water, gas & electric facilities. One slum very nearer to their schools, government built 6 floor building and gave it to same slum resident and rest land they widen the road. So what number family got moved? By 2019, they moved quite 24000 families. By 2022, their target was 80000 slum families at no cost. Surat municipal corporation had created target of relocating all slums on government land by 2022. Slum-free diamond city still an overseas dream. Below image, all yellow marked are apartment given to slum relocation. Each apartment is 6 floor. No city in India has that vast scale apartment development for poor. This place is about 2.5 km from his house in Surat. It great work done by SMC.

9. Even Canada have electric wires going outside on tall poles on side of road. While most Gujarat cities, small or big have electric cables sinking ground.

10. Surat was once called the dirtiest city in India, even had plague in 1994. Now Surat ranks in top once a year for the cleanest city in India. Surat started selling treated waste water to industries since 2014. In first years, in 2014, SMC earned 51 crore by selling waste water: SMC earns Rs 51 crore by providing water to Industrial units. | Surat News - Times of India Surat was also the primary city in India to start out Night-Cleaning nightly roads gets cleaned in Surat and same is followed in other Gujarat city additionally. Ahmedabad & Rajkot also ranks in top in cleanest city in India

11. Surat was city of flyover because it started flyover game before most metro cities, but thanks to it’s size limit it’s not same now. Currently Surat has 124 bridges out of that 28 flyovers, 18 railway bridges, 18 river bridges on Taapi River & 60 Creek Bridges. SMC link: Bridge Cell Home

I, the author, Yusuf Bhandarkar, Founder CEO of Mumbai Multimedia Studio - state "that things to produce basic infrastructure is government’s main duties and Gujarat does it well. Gujarat may be behind in many sectors but to supply basic infrastructure is much ahead in this game changer."

Human Development Index: Gujarat is behind in 2017 HDI survey. Gujarat is 21st before Telangana (22) Andra Pradesh (27) and Bengal (28) but behind states like Kerala (1st), Delhi (5th), TamilNadu (11), Maharastra (15), Karnataka (18) but

https://www.nipfp.org.in/media/medialibrary/2014/06/WP_2014_139.pdf by this report Gujarat has HDI ranking in India at rank of 8th to 10th between 2000–2012. How suddenly it fall to 21 in 2017???! there's something fishy in 2017 report, or even other states grow in no time..

Literacy Rate: as of 2016 of 36 States & Union Territories, last official census of India. Gujarat (83.31%, 13th in India) is way ahead than states like Karnataka (75.70%, 23rd), Telangana (66.5%, 35th, Second last in entire India, Last is Bihar with 63.82%) and AndraPradesh (67.4%, 32nd)

BUT BEHIND Kerala (98.91%, 1st), Delhi (93.34%, 4th), Maharashtra (89.91%, 9th) & state (85.33%, 11th, very close, only 0.79% difference). But as there's Gujarati saying “Educated person may be easily rented”.

Inter -State Development among Cities & Priorities: Gujarat has many developed cities while most other states have only 1 city leading like Tamil Nadu have Chennai, Telangana have Hyderabad, Kerala have Kochi or Karnataka have Bangalore or Rajasthan have Jaipur or MP have Indore. Gujarat is barely state where it’s biggest city Ahmedabad is out paced consistently by 2nd city Surat in growth for a decade. Ahmedabad was called as “Manchester of India” but now Surat have taken and almost 70% of entire India’s Textile industry is in Surat. No other state has inter-competition between cities. Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara & Rajkot, all 4 cities do what they'll do best to grow with stiff competition within the state itself. Rajkot is increasing footprint at high pace in industrial machinery manufacturing.

Top cities of India: Out of top 10 cities of India, Gujarat and Maharashtra have 4 cities. (Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Surat & Pune). Direct Tax Revenue: Maharashtra (1st) contributes highest government income of entire India’s 39–40% while Gujarat (5th) is 4–7%. These two states pays ~45% of total revenue of India. (2nd is Delhi 13–15%, 3rd Karnataka 8-10%, 4th Tamilnadu 5–7%). These percentages are within the range from last 10 years.

if you look deep, you'll find same pattern is followed from last from 10 years. Terrains: Gujarat have sand dessert, white salt dessert, mountains, jungles, rainy area of Dang, dry area of Saurashtra, hill-stations of Saputara, 1600km long beach (longest in India), thousands of beaches. Except Snow, Gujarat have all kind terrains to explorer, i think no state in India fortunate enough to own this.

Holidays: apart from regular Hindu holiday, 3 ids (Muslim), Christmas (Christians), Pateti (Parsi, Zoroastrian), Cheti Chand ( Sindhi), religious leader Jayanti ( Sikhs), Mahavir Jayanti (Jain). Even Parsi, Sikhs, Christians & Sindhis are in 0.00x in Gujarat, we've got their holidays. There are loads of projects which may be found in mere Gujarat in India, I don’t want make list bigger, but, i've got made my point.

NRI Influence: Gujarat has one among highest number of NRIs living in USA, Canada, Australia, UK & East Africa for 3–4 decades. (Not as proletariat which we see from Kerala & UP/Bihar visiting Middle East). USA 3rd most south-Asian-origin language is Gujarati after Hindi & Urdu. There are some villages where most of the people are NRI and village gets populated in Christmas holidays as most NRI visits India. Most Gujarati have one or more NRI relatives living in Americas or Europe. NRI community of Gujarat influences it’s growth at many extends, its thoughts process and adjusted Gujarat’s culture plenty. attempt to find ‘Dharmaj’ village or ‘Madhapar’ village. Richest village in India, banks in Dharmaj village have over 1000 crore deposited in NRI accounts. Dharmaj - Wikipedia & Madhapar - Wikipedia. Above is Nationa lGeography Article on Gujarati Patel community owning over 50% of USA motel business.

Edits: Background of Gujarat: Gujarat is industrial hub of Western India. because of long sea route and not much farming capability, Gujarati community is stuffed with traders, even before British-era. because of that Gujarati are very far ahead in business than other community of India and leading in richest list every where. We Gujarati are neither North Indian nor South Indian. We are American. Culture of Gujarat has few similarities with Rajasthani culture, while Cutchy culture of Gujarat has few similarity with Sindhi culture, but it’s far different than culture of other states. Even Southern states would have more similarity in culture to Bihar/Bengal than Gujarat. Distance between Surat, Gujarat to Bihar/Bengal (Patana, 1725 km/ Kolkata, 2100km) is sort of same or quite the gap between Chennai, Tamilnadu to Bihar/Bengal (Patna, 1850 km/Kolkat, 1700). Gujarat has it’s own identity, atleast 250 BC old Gujarati language and residential to highly successful businessman not just in Gujarat, but in India, USA, UK & geographic region. Historically (2000 years back) high number of migrants from Central Asia like Georgia, and other lake countries & Persia and other south asian regions, now one amongst highest inter-state migrant hosting state in India. because of this high diversity, we've got very fair-skin community than even found in North-Western India additionally as we've got same dark-skin community found in Southern India. because of high salt-level of water found in Gujarat in precedent days, Gujarati food were added with little Sugar/Jaggery to balance taste and now it's became standard. Same like our food, Gujarati are usually considered as sweet people.

Gujaratis traders had biggest contribution for development of two most vital city of South Asia, Bombay & Karachi. thanks to partition of British India, Gujarati lost Karachi to Pakistan and because of partition of Bombay state to Gujarat & Maharashtra state in 1961, Gujarati lost Bombay to Maharashtra. Still, we as community leading at forefront and currently 3rd biggest economy state of India after Maharashtra & Tamilnadu.

Some Gujarati renowned leader, bureaucrats, diplomats, businessmen and other personalities :

Father of Pakistan, Jinnah,

Iron man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (my idol) Now, dashing HM Shri Amit Bhai Shah

Father of program in India, Vikram Sarabhai

Father of energy in India, Homi Bhabha were Gujarati.

Richest/Skilled Businessmen:

Richest people of India, TATA, Ambani, Adani, Sanghvi, Ajim Premji, Kotak, Poonawala, Mistry, Wadia, Godrej are Gujarati or Gujarati Background.

Richest person in Kenya, Manu Chandaria, Naushad Merali, Vimal & Tarun Shah

Richest person in Uganda, Sudhir Ruparelia, Karim Hirji, Lalani, Miraj Barot are Gujarati.

Richest person in Tanzania, Mohammed Dewji, Gujarati origin Ismaili Khoja.

Richest person in Pakistan Adamjee, Sadruddin Hashwani, Abdul Razzaq Yaqoob are Gujarati.

There are many places to grow on still & pending. They both are thinking going back to Surat, I can saw from their thinking, that it’s changing rapidly and that I would assume same goes on in other a part of India too. Infrastructure is one thing and human development overall is second. In Human Development, indeed, nobody can beat Kerala in India, but, Infrastructure wise Gujarat is much ahead.

In Conclusion: Gujarat is well developed compare to other states of Indian in overall basic infrastructure wise comparison. Consistent basic Facilities you get in Gujarat is difficult to search out in other states of India.
