We are back to lockdown, cancel the exam, cancel this, and that without really thinking that lockdown or canceling things is just pushing today's problem on tomorrow without actually finding a solution. Last year also exam canceled thinking this year will be better but nothing changed. USA without worrying about a Covid number focused on testing and now vaccination. The USA conducted tests of 125% of their population, they had a national election at the pick of covid and now finally numbers are going down. Most of the time they don't have a lockdown state may have some restrictions here and there. USA death number look on the higher side 3 times of India considering we recorded the correct number but I am sure our lockdown must have pushed towards a slow death because many will not be able to take treatment for other illness or nutrition levels will go down without midday meal or many direct-indirect issues.
I think we show we care too much for human life so justify all this cancellation and lockdown but the truth is way different. We have every year 9 lakh malnutrition death of a child less than 5. If we really cared for human life then just ask govt around us whether municipal or state or center or just file RTI to the responsible govt that how many ventilators increased in the last 1yr or the Medical Oxigen or Number of Beds. Our per-patient test rate is pathetic check statewise test rate.
We need to move ahead with life, don't cancel anything just find out a way to do it, Bihar Election, NET JEE exam gone smooth. No one knows when this will end, one more strain and the current vaccine may lose effectiveness so as a large population country and economically developing, we need to focus on running things and not stopping them

This simply means covid not going away, vaccinating 50% of the Indian population every year is practically impossible unless we have some nasal drop or tablet to eat kind self-medication available top of the counter.
So lockdown, cancel exams, cancel elections, closing down schools is not the solution. We will need to work around it, create structures that will support life and the economy. Exams can be taken by creating a structure with social distancing by creating transparent partitions. Elections can be taken by smaller booth size which anyway was used successfully in Bihar. Making hospital self-sufficient with oxygen plants and I am sure there are many more great Idea available.
