Do you know why we recite ATTA'HIYYAAT, in every Salah?
Please say Alhamdullilah twice after reading this.
Attahiyyaat may be avital 'Dua' we repeat it in our daily prayers.
When I came to understand the background, it actually melted my heart. ❤
Attahiyat is truly a component of a conversation between Our Creator Allah SWT and our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) during his journey of Al Isra Wal Miraj through the Archangel Gibrael. When Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) met Allah SWT, he didn't say 'Assalam aleikum'. What is someone visiting say when he meets Allah SWT ?
We can't wish HIM peace because ALL sources of peace are through HIM the Almighty.
So Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:
"Attahiyyaatu Lillahi Was Salawatu Wattayyibatu"
(All compliments, all prayer and worship are for Allah)
Allah replied:
"Assalamu Alaika Ayyuhannabiyyu 'Warahmatullahi Wabarka'tuhu"
(Peace be upon you, Oh Prophet and Allah's Mercy and Blessings).
To this, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) replied:
"Assalamu Alaina Wa'ala'Ibadillahis Saa'liheen"
(Peace air us and on all good slaves of Allah)
Note*
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) included "us" in his reply...
(and on all good slaves of Allah)
And paying attention to this conversation between Allah and His Messenger (pbuh), the Angels said:
"Ash'had'u'un La ilahaillallahu Wa Ash'hadu Anna Muhammadun Abd'uhu Wa Rasooluh"
(I bear witness that nobody is deserve worship except Allah and that i bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger).
Subhan Allah!
I now know the background of this conversation and its importance in our daily prayers and the way the Salat was prescribed to us. 🌺
Now that you simply too know, what does one think you ought to do with it. Imagine if your friends read and know what you recognize simply because of you !!!
سبحان الله
Please share this post if you would like your friends to understand this.
Edit: I have to be compelled to know many believes that this conversation isn't authentic. But, let or not it's fake or true if it brings interest for salaah, then it should not be sin because quite 30% of Muslims within the world miss their daily 5 times salaahs and hope this might bring some change. Allah s.w.t. knows best.
