Are you good at public speaking?
What do you do?
1. Prepare, think then speak
2. Speak without thinking
3. First observe then speak
4. Think & speak together
I used to prepare, think & speak. This is probably the most common way people use for public speaking but probably not the most effective way. I used to use this way because I was fearful I would make a mistake.
Speaking without thinking is when it becomes spontaneous that is when we are most powerful. If we can observe while we do this we can become even more effective.
Thinking & speaking together could be another way many people use. We just have to be mindful that the mind does not wander while thinking else we are not that effective & lose touch with the audience.
