There are several aspects of this subject. The first and the foremost part is that the present CM of UP Yogi Adityanath is too much involved in the task of developing the state and he works with a zeal. Also, it may be noted that out of the total 32 KM long proposed metro route for Kanpur, only about 9 KM long route has started operating between IIT Kanpur and Motijheel. It will be some time before the entire project is completed.
We have seen that such phase wise development is the key in metro rails. In Delhi also, initially the first Red Line between Shahadara (East Delhi) and Tis Hazari Court had started and it was gradually extended from time to time. In Ahmedabad too, only a section of the metro between Vastral Gam and Apparel Park had started in 2019 and the remaining part is still under execution.
