She looks amazing! I have tried to find out more about her daily habits that might lead to such great results and look stunning at 53 just as Salma does. The most interesting fact I managed to find was that in 2007, during her pregnancy, Salma developed gestational diabetes. Gestational diabetes is tricky - 5% of healthy pregnant women are diagnosed and usually in the later stages of pregnancy when women become resistant to insulin. When it comes to gestational diabetes, management is the key. In short, not only does she have to focus on healthy eating but also on her sugar intake and diabetes. In one of her interviews, she listed out the most common daily activity that helps her stay young and beautiful.
First of all, it's dieting with no restrictions. She was always very open about the fact that she does not like to restrict herself from eating. Instead, she avoids sugary foods as much as possible and does a juice cleanse once a week. “After doing a juice cleanse, I’m motivated to eat healthier and don't rely on emotional eating. Cleansing is like my meditation. It makes me stop, focus and think about what I’m putting into my body. I’m making a commitment to my health and hitting the reset button.” she says so ...Of course, it might be risky consuming only juice, keeping in mind that people with diabetes must be super careful with the sugar intake. From her 13 years of experience she knows what fruits and vegetables are safe to consume with her condition. When talking about gestational diabetes and health, it's important to understand that it can only be managed with constant (daily) workouts. Salma also claims that she was never a morning person, so morning workouts were never for her. She chooses to do short but frequent workouts (up to 30min). The main question is how does she still manage to look and feel so good? Apparently, long daily dog walks can actually replace gym or workout routine.
And then comes skin. Most of you would probably accuse her of plastic surgery, and this is understandable - surgeries have become one of the biggest and easiest ways to get rid of wrinkles or other ageing signs. The truth is, she is one of few Hollywood actresses that NEVER had any kind of surgery. So, we can call her living proof that healthy eating, and simple work outs can actually lead to amazing results.
