Monday morning I see everyone rushing!
Students running to catch their bus.
Adults rushing to get milk in the morning.
Cars racing to school before gate closes.
People driving fast to get to work on time.
Folks trying to catch the metro/bus on time.
Everyone is in a hurry & rushing.
This is the rat race.
We are all rushing to nowhere fast.
In India it happens even more. The FOMO is probably more.
But strangely still we see people reaching late, missing timelines.
So why is it that people rushing a lot & yet things are not going the way you want them to.
Whatever we resist persists -Rumi
This is probably the answer.
The more we want to run away from being late the more we do. Yes we are attracting the lesson we all need to learn but we are unable to learn it.
Planning before & being prepared could be a great way. Being more disciplined could be another way. If you simply wake up 30 minutes earlier you wont need to rush.
I wake up at least a few hours earlier than I need to. I write, I cycle, I reflect, and then I move forward with my day. By 9am half my days work is done.
When I was travelling long hours to work I used to leave home at 7am to get an empty road to work.
If you see this is the picture of the Delhi Gurgaon highway during peak hour.
You will notice the traffic jam is on only one side..
