I tried all of these when I lost my job & they all worked beautifully.
I started to intern/volunteer with startups. This helped me pick new skills. It also opened the door to new opportunities.
I pinged founders, spoke to many & got a co-founder opportunity. There was no money but as my skills grew I got job offers.
I also tried freelancing & consulting with organisations. It helped me improve my skills & also get me more opportunities. One of my customers offered me a job.
I also did a few startups. I met with failures initially. But I continued trying them. One of them worked well & then I did not need to look for a job anymore.
